I would like to Congratulate Coach Hofer, all his assistants, and the entire Menominee Maroon Football team for their AWESOME accomplishment (s).

It is so hard just to make it to the Championship game, let alone win it, AND to win it in BACK TO BACK seasons is truly remarkable.  In this day in age, it is extremely tough to keep ones concentration so focussed.  Once again,…. Truly remarkarble.

I join the entire surrounding areas and communities in taking our hats off to such a great accomplishment.   Great job Maroons.  This feat truly will live in infamy.

Hey There Friends!

Wow! (cue up da yooper’s tune “Second Week Of Deer Camp”)   Ya der eh?!  :o)  Busy, Busy, Busy here at Bay Cities Radio.  Because of the Thanksgiving Holiday and all the busy things going on here at the studios (to make your listening pleasure even better,…)  On The “Rock Pile”  There will be NO “Amped Up Lunch” on Thanksgiving Day / OR / Friday.  It will return in FULL FORCE  on Monday, November 26th!!

On Cat Country, I will be taking (2) beer qualifiers on Tuesday, the 20th AND (2) also on Wednesday, the 21st.   The same will apply for our Free Pizza qualifying.  We will have (2) Cousin’s Country Cut’s of the Day On Tuesday, the 20th and also on Wednesday, the 21st.  Our Cousin’s Party Platter will be awarded on Wednesday also!!!    So as you can see,…..  BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!!!!!!!

Rivertown played to a PACKED house up at Belgiumtown last weekend for their Hunters Ball.  A Great time was had by all.  You can always check out my gigs on my “myspace page” At: www.myspace.com/randyvanvooren anytime!!!!

I’ve been continuing to write, and recently completed a couple of awesome tunes with some co-writing friends called “Dry Rain” and “That Hits Me”.  They were also entered into the CMT songwriters contest for next year!  One of my co-writers on these songs was Keith Larsen,….. Last years CMT songwriter of the Year winner. (we occaisonally play his song “Hold On” on the Cat).   So that is pretty exciting!

I am getting prepared for the winter season.  I LOVE snowmobiling. and SNOW in general.  I know, I know,….. I have a couple of bolts missing upstairs,….. but hey!,……. If you’re gonna live up here,…… why not enjoy the seasons,….right?
